Patient Information and Support Groups
Welcome to the Bariatric Surgery Support Group, sponsored by the Stanford Center for Bariatric Surgery. Our support group provides a friendly forum for people who are considering or have already had weight loss surgery. We offer education about the surgery, guidelines for nutrition, exercise, and emotional well-being during the preparation and recovery process.
Dr. John Morton, the Director of Bariatric Surgery will be giving a presentation. During this time Dr. Morton will explain the surgery as well as any complications that may arise.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet your surgeon and have your questions answered. Afterwards, we will have our “round table” discussion in which everyone is encouraged to participate.
