Since its inception, nearly 900 kidney transplants and 100 pancreas transplants have been performed. Stanford offers outstanding and innovative clinical services for kidney and pancreas transplantation.

Building on Stanford's long-standing history of research in transplant immunology and clinical immunosuppression, the program aims to engender clinical transplantation research. The clinical research focuses on strategies to minimize side effects of chronic immunosuppression and to improve long-term outcomes.

The Adult Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation Program strives for meticulous care and superb results. It applies progressive clinical protocols with regular outcome assessment to meet the needs and expectations of patient, family, and referring physician by providing quality medical care, nursing care, and ancillary support services.
