Hand Rehabilitation Department
The Hand Therapy Department at Stanford has a core group of dynamic, board certified hand therapists who treat a large variety of hand injuries and disabilities, including:
- trauma
- tendon nerve injuries and repairs
- sports injuries
- repetitive stress injuries
- entrapment syndromes
- Myofascial pain
- fractures and dislocations
- soft tissue injuries
- reconstructive hand surgeries
- complex regional pain syndrome

| Although our philosophy is very much hands-on, we also employ electrical, sound and thermal modalities to enhance and increase the effectiveness of treatment.

Leta Jones, RPT, CHT Leta specializes in myofascial release, CRPS and shoulder injuries. |
Susan Clark, OTR, CHT Susan received her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire in 1978. She then worked in various hospital and rehabilitation settings in Pennsylvania, predominantly as a neuro clinician. After moving to California in 1985 she began specializing in hand therapy. Susan has been a certified hand therapist since 1994 and has been treating hand injuries in the bay area for over 20 years. She joined the hand therapy team at Stanford in 2006. Hand fractures, tendon transfers, burns and traumatic hand injuries are her areas of interest.
