Microsoft Excel 2000 is a powerful tool for creating spreadsheets. In this beginners course you will learn the basics of creating, editing, and saving worksheets. 

 

You will work with formulas and functions to calculate and return values.  You will also format data, create charts, and work with worksheets in a workbook. 

 

Participants will also learn to change the appearance of a page, including adding headers and footers.

 

Topics covered include:

  • Understanding basic worksheet and workbook concepts and terms
  • Modifying the worksheet
  • Creating and copying formulas
  • Using functions to calculate and return values
  • Formatting cells to enhance the appearance of the worksheet
  • Creating charts that represent your data
  • Working with and organizing worksheets in a workbook
  • Changing the page setup to define how the printed worksheet appears

 

 

Prerequisite:   Familiarity with Windows 95 or Windows NT and the ability to use a keyboard and mouse
