Hyperglycemia is an independent risk factor for poor patient outcomes.
This course is designed for acute care nurses and focuses on how nursing can improve inpatient glycemic control.
Program Highlights:
-
Basic pathophysiology
-
Different types of diabetes
-
Research on the link between hyperglycemia and poor outcomes
-
New recommendations for improving inpatient diabetes care
Discussions and case studies will include new strategies for intensive insulin therapy throughout the inpatient arena.
