Don’t miss this new course developed by Stanford Hospital’s new Clinical Nurse Specialist with the Wound and Ostomy Program!
This course is designed to help the nurse assess, manage, and initiate strategies for maintaining skin integrity. When skin integrity is compromised, the nurse will be able to develop a plan of care to treat and optimize wound healing.
Selection and usage of advanced wound care products will be discussed, and these products will be on display during a “progressive luncheon”. Make rounds to each vendor table and view the products as you pick up your next lunch course.
Program Highlights:
-
Aging skin – what you need to know and is there anything you can do about it?
-
How surfactins/humectins play a role in skin care
-
Advanced wound care product vendors will provide free product samples
Faculty from Stanford Hospital and Clinics:
Deborah Thayer, RN, MS, CWOCN, is an international speaker with an expertise
in incontinence care.
Patricia Emmons is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and leads the Wound and Ostomy Program.
