Day 2: Current Treatment Options for Renal Failure
This class will focus on renal physiology, the etiology of the disease, and treatment options.
There will be an emphasis on medical management, dialysis and pharmacological advances.
Transplantation techniques and related nursing responsibilities will also be discussed.
Psychosocial issues and selection criteria surrounding the option for transplantation will be discussed.
