Tiny pulses of electricity can be used to alter pain perception in the brain, in essence "re-wiring" the abnormal brain circuits that underlie chronic pain and other disorders. Although the mechanisms are still poorly understood, there's no misunderstanding the life-changing pain relief that many patients feel.

This lecture by Jaime Henderson, MD,  will help to unravel some of the mysteries of why brain stimulation works, and will give a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the delicate surgical techniques and sophisticated electronic devices which offer hope for man! Patients who have no other options for treating debilitating chronic pain.
